This morning was our first frost for the year and minimum temperature dropped to -0.2deg C. overnight.

Also I lit the fire this morning for the first time for the year.  Lovely,...

Yep, me too, and yes, an inch of rain would be very nice.

I guess i should qualify my earlier statement too. It's the first time I've lit the fire in the morning, we've also had it going most nights for the last fortnight or so.

Thanks for the offer, but I have an oil fire.

I can ask my neighbour when he gets home fron work and ask him if he'd like to have it.
