It was really good to see some of the old cars and side cars at the Yorke Penninsula Dirt Kart Club on the 9th of January. 2 TQ's 1 midget 1 super modified and 2 sidecars made the hot trip to Kadina/Wallaroo Road track. All had moving displays. The track was very sidecar friendly and held together quite well. It would have been nice to have some solo's but alas none came. (maybe next year and maybe we can get John Boulger to hop as he did a couple of years ago and show his style again) Was a top night with total nominations exceeding 120 was a long night with racing up to mid night and with most spectators staying on they got there monies worth

Gee Omega79, you must be a keen devotee, I never went outdoors on the 9th, I snoozed in front of the A/C most of the day, it was bloody blistering  here. I only hope that the weather was cooler for you on the peninsula.

It's really good to see that people participated at this time of the year.

The SA Long Track titles are progressing well and a gent in Jamestown is trying to organise a bus to travel to and from the meeting to save people from driving.
Stay tuned for more info .

If it's who I think it would be, he'll know the people to get in touch with. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Yeah,  I guessed as much.

Trev was a pretty handy rider in his day.

I have just recently been informed that Speedcar J13 raced by Eric Talbot is now on loan to the Birdwood Mill motor museum and forms part of a display with various other speedcars that raced at the legendary Rowley Park Speedway.  Thanks to the local lady who brought it to our attention and provided photos of the display.
