We had about 63 ml, with jagged, spikey hailstones almost golf ball size. Smashed holes in the perspex on the pergola and screens on the north windows. Shredded quite a few garden plants.
I went out past your place this morning and could only see a bit of water laying just east of the house. have you finished reaping? I had heard about the jagged hailstones, it sounds really unusual. Knowing what it's like to get caught in a "normal" hail storm I hesitate to think about the consequences of being caught out away from any cover in a storm like that, you could be in very serious trouble. It could also have been an expensive exercise for anyone with a new solar system. I'm only pleased we didn't see any of the hail. The rain here was bad enough with our back gutter overflowing and the water getting to within about a centimetre of the back door. TLW and i went for a barefoot paddle up the back yard after the heaviest fall about 9:00pm and had a look at the rain gauge, the water was 10-15 cms deep in places up on the back block.

33.5mm this morning.
Somewhat more than the predicted 5-10mm a few days ago.

Just as well your house is on a rise, otherwise you'd be wise to build an ark.

It hardly counts,... but this morning we had 1.8mm in the gauge.
I think that today's wind would have evaporated far more moisture than that.

4.5mm in the gauge this morning.
It must have been light as neither of us heard a thing through the night.

That's what happens when you take your hearing aid out at night time!!!!

Disregarding the little bit I spilled this morning, we had 35.2mm in our gauge at 9:00am.

We did actually have 0.5mm in the gauge this morning.
I'm hoping that it wasn't that I didn't empty it properly yesterday, as I don't remember us having any rain

That was a good heavy shower last night.
We had 18.6mm in the rain gauge this morning.
Our rear gutter was clean, but it overflowed never the less, I guess I may have to see if I can get a bit more fall on it. I also got the generator out and gave it a test run, fortunately it was not needed, so this morning I've got a few little jobs to do.
Damn this Global warming, I'd planned for a much dryer future.

Everything is wet, but there's barely a trace in the rain gauge so far, not even worth emptying out. I have been upstaged,... TLW got to it before me it appears, we actually had 2mm of rain.
