Possibly the most wonderful program in the universe - I do a *lot* of work in it, although my computer doesn't have anywhere near enough RAM to use it properly. Version 3 is out, and I'm a bit peeved that the exchange rate is so bad at the moment. I guess I should just buy it anyway.

All the good software is sooooo expensive  Sad

I have only had a quick look, and must say that it looks like fun, however having said that, it also looks as if it might have a rather "steep" learning curve.

Textures for rendering of surfaces have always interested me, but I have never got further than generating "line styles" for CAD. I'm a sad case I'm afraid.

Would it be possible to show us some of your work done in this program?

The forum on the site under 'projects' has heaps of examples.

I'll keep mine off here just to save the last shred of anonymity I have left Wink

Well,... I've had a little play, and must report that I am a pathetic failure. The only good thing being that it was no surprise, as I don't have an artistic or creative bone in my body.

My texture ended up somewhat like green technicolor mud, not really inspiring inless you wanted a texture for bright slime.

Ohh,.. yes, and I got a spyware infection to add to my troubles, which has taken 4 hours to remove.

I guess I'll leave it up to you hatchbackgirl75. Embarrassed
